Join Rachelle Barkhurst, fiber artist and alpaca farmer, for a very special class on felting the landscape!
This event will be held in Laramie, Wyoming at Cowgirl Yarn.
In this unique class, you will wet felt a landscape backdrop and learn how to needle felt on top. You'll leave the class with the landscape backdrop completed and with the knowledge and supplies to needle felt additional designs on your own, as well as a one-of-a-kind wall hanging that will represent your artistic style!
Space in this class is VERY limited. If the weather is lovely, we will have the class outside on the patio. However, if this is not an option, the class will be held downstairs in the Fernwood Studio, and we will practice social distancing. Participants will be required to wear face coverings or masks. If the class fills up before you're able to register, please contact the store, and we'll add you to the wait list. If the morning session fills up and there is additional interest and demand, Rachelle is available for a second class from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.
Class Cost: $65 plus an additional $25 made payable to Rachelle Barkhurst (see below).
Material Fee: Please bring cash or check payable to Rachelle Barkhurst for $25 for all materials
Supplies:
Supplies are included in the $25 materials fee and include fiber, felting needles, and felting foam.
If you want to purchase additional fiber, Rachelle will have some available for sale.
Notes:
You will not completely finish your project during Sunday's class. However, Rachelle will demonstrate how to needle felt on top of your landscape, so you will leave with the knowledge and supplies that are needed to finish the project at home once your piece is dry.
